Rạch Giá is one of the ports to go to Phú Quốc, the main one being Hà Tiên 85 km westward. A few ladyboys were working there in 2013, in a park near the wharf where there are a few food carts at night and lots of women working the street. This was a second hand information that hadn’t been checked. If you go there, you might have a look at night. This should be somewhere around this island.
Having checked the area in 2022, there no more ladyboy in the area, just a GG freelancing on a motorbike in the street. The area seems to be a lost cause now.

Phú Quốc stands as one of Vietnam's premier tourist destinations, although it may not enjoy the same international renown as other spots. Here, you'll encounter a diverse array of visitors, including Russians and many others, making it one of Vietnam's most cosmopolitan hubs. Once a hidden gem favored by intrepid travelers seeking tranquility, Phú Quốc boasts stunning weather and pristine waters year-round, nestled in the Gulf of Thailand near Sihanoukville. In recent years, extensive development, including a sprawling new resort complex with thousands of apartments, has transformed the southern area around the airport. With this growth, one can anticipate an influx of Chinese tourists to the island.

Alternatively, solo travelers could opt for independent travel to the island, easily accessible by a brief 50-minute flight from HCMC (and even 1h20 flight from Bangkok), and explore at their own pace. North of Dương Đông, the main city, the old airport was decommissioned, its facilities dismantled, and the runway repurposed into a boulevard named Võ Văn Kiệt. At the junction of this boulevard and DT 45 (Hùng Vương Road), one could occasionally find local ladyboys awaiting customers at night. These were predominantly young femboys and crossdressers. Their presence was unpredictable, often appearing on Fridays and Saturdays, or during quieter periods without markets or events. It was advisable to travel there with a rented motorbike (the island remains relatively safe for driving) and one could spend time either at one's hotel or bungalow, if possible, or along the former runway. Prices typically ranged from 500K for a short time in the hotel and 200K for a quicky along the runway. It's recommended to have Google Translate handy for communication.
